Jacqueline is an HONOR STAR!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to share my darling daughters (Missionettes Graduation). I am so very proud of this little girl. She makes my heart sing.

Jacqueline cracks me up...she has the funniest faces and I think she kind of takes these ceremonies in stride. She tends to excel in many areas and has quite a collection of medals and trophies in her room...well me and the family sitting in the audience kept looking at her and saying things like: Jacqueline is probably saying: "hmmnnn whatever...can I sit down now?" "Another trophy..where am I going to put all this now?" Oh wow, another Honors medal...shocking"...LOL We were all cracking up!!!
Each little girl gets a crown which represents that they have accomplished all the requirements for the Stars program.

Whoops...sorry, this one should have gone first... The parents walk down each little girl down the aisle..I was thinking....this reminds of something else...that I am just not wanting to think about right now!!! White dress...aisle...NOT!!! LOL (By the way..Jacqueline wanted me to have the same hair do that day) She looks much prettier!!!!

My family helped me put together a beautiful get together for her at Abuela's house. I need to thank my aunts Yaya, Judy and Puchy...your help meant the world to me. Margie..you are the best...thanks for all the picture taking, styling hair and loving my daughter the way you do!!! Bethsy, thank you for helping her achieve her goals and for simply spending time with her...and letting her TALK YOUR BRAINS OUT in your private sleepovers!!! Mom,you still make the best rice in town. Lina, you are my favorite cousin..NAMED LINA! Your heart is huge and I love you more for that! Ady, for loving my daughter as if she were yours, the cake, and all the crazies you do for me (AT THE VERY LAST MINUTE)!!! I want to thank all my family and friends who made the effort to celebrate in my daughters' special day. I thank you and am grateful that you are all a part of our lives. DIOS ME LOS BENDIGA SIEMPRE!!!

These hands........

These hands raised 8 children and gave love, compassion and a wealth that surpasses the worth of any worldly goods. These hands made countless dinners that fed her family and in turn created a haven where her family felt loved and cared for. These hands showed courage as she worked hard and diligently fought to raise 7 children when her husband passed away at an early age. These hands comforted, disciplined and led by example in the most difficult and trying times.

These hands wrote countless of letters to her family members and through her words kept the bond of love and unity flowing for generations. These hands instilled in her children and grandchildren pride and joy in everything we create and do in our lives. These hands created countless needlepoint creations that brought joy to so many lucky recipients. These hands showed me to LOVE TO READ...because they picked up material to read on a daily basis. These hands cleaned for years and instilled in her family that no matter how little we have monetarily, we can and should have a clean and healthy castle, because it is OUR SANCTUARY.

These hands created and nourished a family that even though is not perfect maintains the familial bond that GOD intended. These hands conveyed comfort and love as she wrapped herself around you and hugged without reservations.

These hands have been ravished by time and by this horrible disease called Alzheimer's. These hands will be 91 years old very soon, yet in spite of the loss of youth, they show strength in their fragility. These hands may be tired, but at times I see a glimpse of the spirit that lives in her and was her signature as a strong woman. Even though these hands are no longer as active as they were in the past, they continue to bring a wealth of emotion in me. These hands still have the power to bring back wonderful memories and remind me who I am , where I come from, and where I am going.

These hands belong to my beloved ABUELA.

If you are lucky enough to have grandma here, take pictures, visit...even if she doesn't know who you are...YOU KNOW WHO SHE IS!!! Hug her, hold her and thank God that she is still with you.

YUP....14 years later..........

We are still here. Today Rios and I celebrate 14 years of marriage. Got to celebrate that!!!!

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere's FAY!!

So school was supposed to have begun today...NOT! Fay is in the house. It literally has been raining ALL DAY and sort of windy here in Miami. I just hope it's not so bad that we are without electricity for too long. HATE IT WHEN THAT HAPPENS!!! It's supposed to get worse in a little bit. We already had our first tornado near where we live...now that scares the bejaysus out of me!!! Want to see a hysterical puertorican? YUP!!! Tornadoes.
Any who, we'll pray and get ready as we have done so in the past. What can I say, this is a part of living in wonderful South Florida.

Couple of announcements:

KIT FOR SEPTEMBER: PENDING. Waiting on my lovely vendor the send me a COMPLETE order. So GOD willing, we will be able to finish kitting and mailing on the 31st. I LOVE MY JOB!!!! I even got 1/2 the merchandise for the October kit....ooouuuuuuuggggghhhhhhhh!!!

BLUE, GRAY, YELLOW AND OOOOHHHH..Some delish goodies coming down our way for the September kit....

Scrap PINK is coming along very nicely if I do say so myself. Have some goodies for my gals that I know they are going to love!

CROPTOBERFEST IS COMING SOON. October 18th to be exact. At least that's when I shall be hosting it. Want a peek? OK.

I will be teaching and co-hosting a couple of Scrapbooking weekends within the next 6 months. They will be all over the place. I am super impressed with the pricing and the quality of these events. The goodie bags alone are phenomenal. The official blog, I am informed should be up sometime this weekend with all pertinent information. There are less than 50 spots available at all these events, so make sure if you are able to attend to sign up ASAP!!!!

Well gang, keep the girls in South Florida in your prayers. We should simply have some rough weather...but then again, Hurricane Andrew was not supposed come down my way and unfortunately, almost blew our darn house away. Took almost 2 years to rebuild. NOT FUN! Yet, it taught us to persevere.

OK gang...I have been bombarded with emails regarding the retreat. This is really amazing, and I am thrilled you are all willing to come and hang with the MIAMI GANG! (LOL).

They are trying to get a link hook up so that you can simply click, download your registration form and enable you to send in your check. It's a little bit more work than we anticipated since we are setting up payment plans and this is getting a tad bit more complicated....GEEZ...but it's ok...we shall work it out.

Scrap Book Retreat 2009

As many of you know, we have been working diligently to bring Scrapbook Designs Beach Retreat to Florida in 2009. I am very proud and thrilled to announce that we will be celebrating this event in beautiful Sanibel Island in Florida, September 11 - 13, 2009. We will be staying in the beautiful SANIBEL HARBOUR RESORT & SPA. Take a look at this......

Of course we will be scrapbooking all weekend long!!!! In the case that YOU DO want to take a break, the facilities are home to a world renown spa......massage anyone? LOL. The weekend will be full of surprises, and some great fun.

Project Kit anyone?

Hey there peeps....I have 20 of these left. They are super cute and are going for $11.00. This is a mini chipboard house...adorable!!!

GOLD ANYONE?

OMG....how many of you saw that swimming relay race last night? HELLO!!!!! Those BOYS ROCKED!!! We were screaming so loud in our house I think they heard us over in the next state.
Jason Lezak, Michael helps, Garret Weber-Gale and Cullen Jones bring home the gold.

This man (LEZAK) is truly an amazing athlete. To see the distance that he had to close was a pretty amazing thing to watch. I am so positive that this will be one for the books of history. I am sure, my grandchildren will be talking about this one!

He touched the pad 0.08 of a second earlier than the french swimmer....talk about destiny!
It was simply their time!

Happy Friday!!!!!

I am so happy it's Friday. Went to 3 stores yesterday, and nope, nada, absolutely NOT! They do not have my battery charger for my camera. So I am about to order one today. Hay Dios mio...the little details in life..sigh.
So unfortunately...NO PICS on the good stuff here. Margie is going to take pics for me and I will post tomorrow morning....sorry gang.

Now onto some happy stuff. ScrapPink is so HOT this year! I am super happy with the way the goodie bags are shaping up, thank you very much. As of today ScrapPInk is SOLD OUT for the Saturday Session. I still have several spots available for Friday's Session. Oh, the goodies coming our way are DELISH!!!

Information for the Scrapbooking Retreat 2009 will be posted sometime next week. I am still working on some of the details and want to make sure that all is sealed and signed before I commit.
Just want to give you a peek at something......this just might be the place....
Yup....looks really good to me where I am standing. Hopefully you can make it here, enjoy the view and have a strawberry daiquiri with me! OF COURSE WE SHALL BE SCRAPING LIKE THERE IS NO TOMORROW!!!! LOL.

Some wonderful classes and crops coming up such as Croptoberfest, the annual class, the 10 reasons, YUP!!!! a 24 HOUR CROP!!!!! and my Christmas Class and Crop are all being planned out. I am getting the calendar and the locations ready to go. Will keep you posted.

August kit

Hello everyone. I have almost sold out of the August kits. I know, I know. I did not even post them. It seems that every time customers came over they would simply pick one up. Sigh, it's all good. I would love to give you a picture but I CAN'T! This is not making this puertorican very happy. So I am off to purchase ANOTHER battery charger for my camera as the original one is missing in action. I will come back, some time today, and post the pictures you are all so anxiously waiting for.

Hello peeps...

I am not a ghost...no I did not disappear off the face of the earth...you are all so funny...I got so many emails asking me to update, asking to make sure I was alright...Thank you all for your concern.
The truth is....I was tired...still tired...but I am on the road to recovery. I just had to take a break and honestly, I just visited some of the blogs I love the most and kinda CHILLED. It was nice.
Now...back to work.

To start off with....My CALEB IS 3!!!!

My favorite little boy in the whole wide world...(My son is now a BIG BOY) is 3!!!! He is absolutely delicious. For those of you who know me...know that I have a deep unconditional, special, fantastic, unbelievable amount of LOVE for my nephew...he is a riot. His smile makes me happy. When he opens his arms and screams TITI MARY...aaahhhggghhh..I'm lost. That boy has me wrapped around his little finger! DELICIOUS!!! Happy birthday my little man!

IN HONOR OF CALEB'S MILESTONE....I AM HAVING A RAK!!! (OR SHOULD I SAY....3 RAKS!!!) Just leave a post here, and I will be picking out 3 winners this Friday!!! Some good stuff in those RAKS!!! GOOD LUCK!

Now onto some SCRAPPY news...the annual class was postponed due to some Health issues that I will not go into, but let it suffice that I was one scared puertorican this past Saturday. Thank God Almighty that it is all good and the amazing thing is that REST really does restore the body! WOW! I know...I know!!! Ask any mom...how many of you are really rested? LOL!

Scrap PInk is coming along very nicely. I have a full house on Friday and I have 2 spots open for THE Saturday session. Please be patient for those who I have not sent the pay pal invoices...I am getting there. Slowly, but surely.

For the month of August I asked various designers to create 2 page layouts with supplies that I gave them....so on Monday, I will begin showing the first set of designers for the week. Thank you all for participating. You all ROCK!!!!

I am getting the details for the Beach Retreat 2009 ironed out. I will begin registration sometime next week. Keep an eye out for this event...it's really one of my favorites!!!

The following are some layouts that are for the $50.00 for 10 page class. This class will be held at the Scrap and Elegance Scrapbook Store.
