Whatcha been doin'?

Well..I've been a busy Puertorican.
I've been decorating....will be done by tomorrow. WHOO HOO!!

Went to Holiday shows.Check out the boys and their guitars.
Mr. Elijah playing his guitar. Honestly...(not because he's my son) but the whole group did an amazing job). This is my kid's first year in guitar class...I am so proud of him!!!!

Making cute Snowman projects with my niece and nephew...sorry Caleb...covered your face...hee,hee,hee.

Puertorican pasteles anyone? I have been Delivering these babies all over town for my mom....that is the extent of my participation in this VERY CHRISTMAS TRADITION in our culture. Pasteles are very work intensive and not everyone knows how to do them. My mother has been teaching the grandchildren the family recipe. Jacqueline is pretty good. She definitely enjoys it!!!

I love my mom's hands. They show the many years of caring, working and nurturing.

Mom's pasteles are pretty well known. She has been making them for years and sells them during the Holiday Season.

Here is the finished product...well not exactly...you have to cook these babies in water and salt at least for an hour before consuming them....YYUMMMOOOO!!!

I have a great busy weekend filled with lots of fun stuff to do. I will try to post soon.

Gaudy Trees anyone?

Sorry...I have been so busy that blogging has simply fallen off the list.

But just want to share some of the most gaudiest, beautiful trees that I HAVE EVER SEEN! These pictures do not do justice to these trees. Like my friend Ana G. Says....THEY ARE OUT OF CONTROL.

We have a store called the Christmas Palace here in Miami. I am not sure if they are Nation wide, but let me tell you, they are open all year round and they have some of the most beautiful Christmas merchandise that is made. Absolutely LOVELY.

Wednesday you say?

My goodness, time is truly flying by. Here are some pics of what is going on in our home.
Decided to add the polka dot black tulle on the pink tree....it just needed that little pizzaz to tie in the black, white and pink together. He,hee,hee...GOtta tell YOU...I love my pink forest. I think I am only going to put up only 3 trees. I'm too tired. LOL. :)
Look at the new additions to the white tree this year. Got these at Michaels!!!! THesE Santas are GORGEOUS!!!! They had them in different colors too.

My nutcracker table has a new addition. Got a snowman nutcracker (all the way in the left hand side on the back).

And this is what is awaiting me...in back of the sofa...SO THAT I CAN GET IT DONE TODAY!!

Off to pick up my daughter. We got an important appointment today. Send a little prayer for Jacqueline PLEASE!!!

Christmas Crop and some very happy Girls....

Celebrated my Christmas Crop today. Gotta tell you that Kit sold out quickly. Great goodies in there.

Vanessa worked on this great banner that she got from Trish at WIP. Her kits are fantastic. Her Christmas Kits are AMAZING!!!!

I went to Mom's and Dad's as I had cooked up a storm so I took dinner over there and everyone got together there. My sister Ely is cleaning his would here...check out the audience!!! LOL

Here is Jacqueline and my cousin Lina...no they had no clue that they were going to dress the same...they sure look cute. (look at the kids in the background playing on the floor...lol)

Day 4 & Day 5

DAY 5
Getting ready for tomorrow's Christmas Crop. Got my centerpiece in the dinning room ALMOST DONE. Isn't he a cutie? Getting a turkey and the sides ready to rock and roll for the girls tomorrow. Will try to post pics on that.
DAY 4

Spent the day today (Friday) at the hospital with dad. He broke my heart. HE is doing SO MUCH BETTER, but this operation was a very serious one. Please keep him in your prayers.

Came home finished cooking a (Pernil) and headed over to celebrate Ms. Alyssa's Birthday. She got the shock of her life as look what came through the front door....a NEW Purple & PINK , SHINNY BIKE!!!! Lucky little girl.

Wanted to post this....this happened on day 3 but I took these pics late at night....My lovely children decided that they were going to decorate the outside of the house on Day 3. I am soooooo not doing this. Got too much on my plate. So here are some pictures (pretty lousy ...but they are the only ones I got) to document our December daily.
These two are the light of my life. They are so funny....NOTICE..school uniforms still on!!!!

Gotta give them credit. They worked very hard to set up these candy canes....(they were perfectly straight...to the centimeter...those honor Math classes are sure paying off) LOL.

Well now, so glad I shared that sentiment...LOL. I am trying to get this house ready for the holidays, and boy oh boy has it been a mission. Although the spirit is willing, the demands have called me elsewhere. So here are some sneaky peeks..........
This is the Pink FOREST....it is being put in the dinning room this year. I only have 3 of the 7 trees up. Let's see if I make to 5.....Will post more on this later.

I lOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Nativity Scenes. This one is my favorite. I tell you the picture does not do it justice. The figures are literally 11 inches tall (some smaller...but you get the picture). My mom bought this for me a good 7 years ago and it is absolutely my favorite. I lost one of the wise men due to some football turbulence w/husband and son...........YOU CAN IMAGINE what went down when this puertorican got home from shopping and found her beautiful wisemen pulverised...literally. IT IS IN THE ANNALS OF HISTORY as one of the best showdowns I have ever performed...(very proud of that) :)

I have two of these 4 ft. trees and the sofa table in between them.....this is a picture of last year...the walls are now green...hee,hee.

IT"S DECEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOO HOO!!!

Here is a pic from LAST YEARS Christmas tree...the traditional one anyway...I had just finished decorating the tree...now...I will be making some changes this year....so I will make sure that I will show the differences...stay tuned.
OK: gang...today I will be posting 2 times...since I forgot to post YESTERDAY...well, I actually posted but the truth is that I have no idea where the post went..so I come in today bright and early and HUALA!!!! NO POST from yesterday...no problema.

I am attempting to do a December Daily...(THANKS ADY AND VANE!!!!) NOT!!! LOL. I already have a book ready to go!!! WHOO HOO!!!!

My house is looking ssooooooooo Christmasy..he,hee,hee. I love it. I am putting up the PINK FOREST UP...I should be done TODAY...I will so be posting on that tomorrow...Gotta show off that forest...it makes me happy! :)

Today I will go visit my daddy at the hospital....he did really well in yesterday's surgery. Thank you all for your kind words and prayers. Thank you, thank you, thank you! He has a new apparatus on his leg. He told my sister Bethsy yesterday that this was more painful than the first one.....frown...that makes me sad. But we will continue to pray and believe that that the our Heavenly Father has EVERYTHING under control.

I am off to print some pictures and get the list of things to do list under control.
