Creating some kid layouts

Hi gang as you can tell I have been working. It's good for the soul....LOL...so good to be creative and getting my hands on some paper, glue and just so many goodies...sigh....I LOVE MY JOB!!!!

This kit was from My minds Eye and I really got back to basics by working with lots and lots of paper. This layout was fun...I used a little bit over 21 brads for the trim on the bottom of the picture...I love the final product. Simple, clean and those boys are delicious!!!! The boy in the green shirt is my son....11 years ago....sigh....I still can't get over that I have a 14 year old!!!! DID I MENTION THAT ALREADY? ............. I'm just saying...............
I love these pics...got my FISKARS out and made some borders...the orange flower and the leaves are from Prima.

I LOVE THIS LAYOUT...it's so simple but it makes me happy :)

Today I'm working on BEACH RETREAT STUFF....getting the classes in order to mail the list within a couple of days....so look out...some great classes coming down your way...(WELL...FOR THOSE GOING TO THE BEACH RETREAT ANYWAY : )

And life continues.............

I want to simple say that:

I AM TOTALLY SHOCKED THAT I HAVE A 14 YEAR OLD!!!!!!!

THIS IS MY BOY ELIJAH. He is really such a good boy. I love his tender heart and his thoughtfulness. I am so proud to be this boys' mom. He is my first born, and from the very first moment I laid eyes on him, I knew my life forever would never be the same. He loves his daddy so much and they have a fantastic relationship. This warms my heart. He still takes time to cuddle and hugs his MOMMA!!! And he has no shame in saying it. Some day...he will make a wonderful husband....BUT NOT TODAY OR ANYTIME SOON!!!!! I'm just saying!!!!!!!!!!!!This picture cracks me UP!!!! You have to understand the Puertorican culture...cards, dominoes.

His favorite BUDDIES.....they are such wonderful young men. I am truly blessed Elijah has such a great group of friends. I love to see how they interact and still stay COOL......

Gotta tell you...this was one of the easiest parties I have ever put together...OK...due to the crazies in our lives...I put this little shindig together in 1 day...sigh...it was the easiest, most relaxing party ever. We moved Elijah's TV to the living room and set up the Wii...and then put another game system on the BIG TV...so let me tell you...there was an awful lot of video noise in my house for 6 hours. Then ME AND ADY GRILLED....(Ady, I hope Jorge doesn't read this...LOL...you are the best girlfriend!!!) hot dogs and hamburgers...in the middle of a lot of laughter and hilarious banter my friend and I pulled it off. We did a terrific job if I do say so myself... (SMILE)

We finished the day with the family coming over for dinner and another cake. We really had a great time....so my son told me....

Life...it's such a wonderful gift.

Normalcy..........

I am so trying to get back into a routine here at home. It's been a crazy last two weeks as many of you know.
I am cleaning house, getting some kits together, supermarket, drop off kids for the last day of school events, pick up kids at school....you know our normal routine...it feels good..although my heart is still heavy...I am so grateful to God for my family and friends.
Thank you all so much for your thoughts, prayers and help. You girls have such a special place in my heart and the truth is that words can never express the deep love and gratitude I feel for you.
We are doing OK. At times an overwhelming sadness comes upon me, but I know that is normal and I simply work through it. I cry, and then think of something funny, crazy or nutty that my father in law would say or do...it makes it better.
This picture makes me happy and brings me peace. It's our niece Taylor with Sonny.

He's gone......

We had the funeral services and the burial today for my father in law. It was terribly sad and bitter sweet for all of us. We begin the healing process......

So sad......

So very, very sad.................................
I am so sorry I have not been posting, but unfortunately last week my family had a great loss. My Father in law's brother passed away. We were saddened by this obviously because of the loss, but also because Bobby was such an amazing man. He loved his family and was such a happy being.

With that being said.....My Father in law has passed away today. I am devastated and in shock. I have no words right now.

I will be back.......but for now.....Please keep the Rodriguez-Rios family in your prayers.

Here are some layouts that I did for my last 10 page class. Had to keep it simple but I was very happy with the results.

I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THE MM STICKERS. THESE ALPHABETS DID NOT ADHERE VERY WELL. I WAS NOT A HAPPY PUERTORICAN....Just saying....

I love paper and have always had an affinity to create stuff. Yet, my passion is to create 12x12 scrapbook pages. I am a Scrapbooker. That is my thing. I am so inspired by this crafter that I am going to give you my take on these designs on 12x12 scrapbook pages. Stay tuned....
