I totally forgot to post yesterday. It was one of those full days full of lots and lots of work. I will post on Ms. Rhoda.....I promise it will be a huge treat!!!!

Simply classic. Gotta love this. Very opulent.

Gotta tell you that this is one of my favorites. It is totally whimsical, fun, and just absolutely DELISH!!! I can just see myself letting the kids have a go at this tree. They would absolutely love it. It just makes me HAPPY. Who doesn't love candy? I tell you girls, if it wasn't because my house could not hold another tree...I would set this one up too....hhmmmm...maybe I will make a stage covering the tub in the kids bathroom and set this in there....hey, the kids can always bathe outside....we do live in sunny Florida...HE, HEE, HHEEEE, HA. (I'm only kidding...really...lol)!

Catch you all tomorrow.

Lots of decorating....ok more like cleaning & remodeling here...

I am almost done with the living room and dinning room. My scrap room is now becoming my husbands office, my pink room is now becoming my Scrap room and I am getting rid of all the goodies in the pink room....that means.........HUGE SALE COMING YOUR WAY GIRLS!!!!

Found this in my bloggie travels.........have no idea where I got it from...forgive me, but I save so much eye candy, I forget sometimes where I get it from.
Look at that great idea. Simple cut out letter (for those of you who have your cricuts....even easier) some pretty fall colored card stock and look how beautiful those candles turned out.

Now, I have got to tell you about my friend Marlene. She just started a blog recently and let me tell you....although she keeps telling me she has to make it better and needs to make it prettier, she has a great blog full of eye candy. Just look at her table for Thanksgiving last year!!!!

Pretty fantastic if you ask me. Go visit her here.
Of course I can't leave you without some Christmas pics.........Tomorrow I will introduce you to one of my favorite blogs. Ms. Rhoda is truly a lovely lady and has some mean talents. She is amazing. Here is a peek at what I will be showing you. She decorated this amazing house in Alabama with some pretty talented women. This is only one side of the room, that Rhoda did.
Have not been able to get my battery running...but soon, I will post some of the goodies I have been working on.
Have a happy day.

Wow....CHRISTMAS IS WHAT????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can not believe that Christmas is ALMOST HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Due to LIFE...I can not believe this has crept up on me.
Am I ready? NO WAY!!!
But if you know me...I LOVE CHRISTMAS.
I kinda skip Thanksgiving every year (the decorating part) because my lovely aunt Celina (Who I will so be posting about next week) traditionally host this grand event on a grand scale and we just show up and eat, laugh, eat, laugh really hard, eat, talk, cry because we laugh so hard, eat....OK you get the picture.
I would have loved to post a pic of my turkey album from last year, but my camera battery has died and my charger has been misplaced....I keep saying that hoping that it is not lost....sigh...life is good girls....life is good. I made a new THANGSGIVINIE mini this year and I created 10 THANKSGIVINIE pages....Got say..I am pretty happy with the end results. I will be more than happy to share...once I get my battery up an running.

Any how, I wanted to show some delish pics from one heck of a divine store...that I absolutely LOVE!!!! This is Vintage Vogue that is located in California. To my disappointment and I am sure yours too, they do not have a website where we can shop...YET. In the mean time, enjoy their eye candy.

I have it on good authority that the in color for Christmas 2009 is Copper and gold.
I personally think whatever you decorate with and makes you happy is what is in. That is just my two cents.
On a grateful note...just want to tell you that my dad is doing so much better. He will be getting his second operation on December 1st. This is fantastic news as we know as soon as this operation takes place, the recovery time will be a good six months. (He shattered his fibula and the femur bones....gotta tell you...when my daddy does something he does it to the extreme...that old coot!!!!) Thank you all for your emails, calls and kind words. I am truly blessed. The show of support and love that has been extended to me and my family at this time has truly been amazing, and I am truly grateful for all of you. I have each and everyone of you in my heart.
With that being said, I also want to let you know...if I owe you something....I am hoping to get it done by Thanksgiving weekend. I am making sure that all pending transactions are being finished, delivered and/or mailed by next week. (Thank you so much for your patience)

Thankful..........Grateful........

I am so thankful and GRATEFUL for so many things in my life that I simply had to document them as they came to mind. I have been praying and meditating a great deal lately and I feel different and have changed my way of thinking on a great deal of things. For the last several months actually I have been taking stock of many things in my life and the truth is that I have an amazing life. I have been working on some projects for some very special people in my life. It is a lot of work, but so worth it when you see the appreciation in their eyes. (I will share pictures in December) I have been journaling A LOT...like I have two notebooks full of notes and thoughts on people and my sentiments on certain life changes.

I just read my buddy Laverne's Blog....and it really hit home. She has this fantastic challenge that you have got to check out. It is truly perfect timing for me, as I have been reflecting an awful lot these past few weeks especially, on my life and how grateful I am. This challenge is truly coming at a PERFECT TIME..I am going to create some cards and simply add the thoughts that I have been journaling these past few months...how cool is that?

I wanted to share some of the goodies some of the girls are making for this challenge.....

This is one of Laverne's creations....check out her blog...she has all the details for this challenge.

This one belongs to my buddy Ady......

This is the back of the card...how great is that? I LOVE IT!!!

Give it a try, it is an awesome way to document your LIFE.....hey, and you might even with a fantastic gift...how cool is that?

Have a great day,
Damaris

UPDATE ON DAD....

My dearest friends:

Many of you know that my dad had an accident last Friday while loading his Snap On Professional tool box on a trailer. Apparently the ramp snapped and the tool box unfortunately fell on him. I am ETERNALLY GRATEFUL TO GOD, that although his injuries are severe, he is alive. His road to recovery will be a long one, but we have been blessed with an amazing family and special group of friends that will help dad through this journey.

My dad was taken in the helicopter to the Jackson Ryder Trauma Center. They performed a very lengthy surgery and will be scheduled for another within the next 12 to 15 days God willing.

Thank you so much for all your heartfelt wishes, prayers and messages on my phone, emails and via my sisters and Ady. Words can not express how much I need those prayers right now.
This is going to be a long process and taking care of dad and this situation is simply going to become a way of life for me, my mom, sisters and family for the next 6 months.

My daddy means to world to all of us, as he is the patriarch of our family. Please, keep him and my family in your prayers.

Hugs,
Damaris

Scrapbook ROOMS........

Hay, hay, hay....SERA POSIBLE?
Guess what? I am revamping my house again. We are beginning with the back rooms which are the pink room and the blue room. For those of you who have not been to my home, the pink room is the business side and the blue room is my personal scraproom.
Well, I am tired of my living space as it is just not working for me right now. With that being said, my husband is going back to the blue room and my pink room is now going to be MY PERSONAL SCRAPROOM. What does this mean? MESS!!! I mean HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEE MESS!
Pray for me. I promise to post pictures really soon. God Willing by next week.

I want to share some of my favorite scraprooms. I believe that people's spaces are simply a reflection of their spirits and souls. A part of them. I want to share some of my favorite rooms. These three rooms are so vastly different, yet so beautiful like their owners.

This is Vanessa's scrappy space. It is absolutely beautiful. Elegant and classy just like her. Check out her blog here to see the full room.

This is Dayami's room. It's such a happy space. It is full of color and whimsiness, just like her. Check out her blog here, she even has a video walk through.
This is Ady's room. I love this room. It makes me happy just to walk into it. It's airy and light and really makes me want to scrap. It inspires me just like her. Check out her blog and see more of her pics here. (By the way, she is revamping it again...I am sure she will be posting new pictures soon.

There are two more spots that are absolutely gorgeous and I abolutely love. They are Trish Turay's scraproom, which is absolutely fantastic. She has the best furniture in the world. And her embellishment holders are out of this world....so sorry, but I don't have pictures of it. I also love Heidi Swapp's old work space. Her room in her old Arizona house was fantastic.

I guess it doesn't matter...the color, the content or how a scraproom is organized. As long as it works for you and makes you happy...then that's all that matters. For those of us, who are blessed to have a space totally dedicated to this craft....our happy space inspires us to continue to create beauty for our friends and family.

Will post pics soon.

Hugs,
